Ronald F Young, MD

Ronald F Young, MD is a graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine. He took an internship in surgery at the University of Minnesota Hospital and a residency in Neurosurgery at the State University of New York Upstate Medical University. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgery.

He served as Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of California at Los Angeles and Professor and Chief of Neurosurgery at the University of California, Irvine. Most recently he was Medical Director of the Gamma Knife Center at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, California.

Dr. Young received the Kongress Medal of the German Neurosurgical Society, The Elizabeth Crosby Medal from the University of Michigan and the Lauds and Laurels Award from the University of California at Irvine.

Dr. Young has published over 100 articles in the peer-reviewed medical literature and over 80 chapters in medical textbooks. He is currently working in a new career as a freelance writer related to healthcare, Cannabis, and drug testing. He writes content creation and copywriting. He has been featured in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World.
